The location and convenience to the city. The courtyard was very relaxing. Southern charm. Even though it was in the city, it was very quiet and comfortable. One felt as though they were in the country.
Lamp repairs needed.

The hotel is located right in the midst of all downtown areas, making it convenient for exploring the city. Within walking distance, guests can easily access all the popular attractions and landmarks. the beautifully appointed reception area gives a warm and inviting welcome to guests upon arrival. the rooms are clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment for a good night's sleep.
The continental breakfast offered at the hotel was not up to standard. the fruit salad consisted of pre-packaged fruit in plastic cups, and the bagels were small and uninteresting.

The only negative was the garbage trucks that arrived at 6 am and made a lot of noise until 7 am. Otherwise great!

the design of the hotel and location
the room was a little too small and no bath tub and no parking

Excellent location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Beautiful courtyard with complimentary continental breakfast. Renovated rooms were fresh and spotless with new interior plantation shutters. Large built-in armoire provided satisfactory closet space.
Windows in the room were nailed shut, limiting ventilation options. Sink's plunger didn't work.

Location to shopping and restaurants
The room, #25, was not one for a restful night. We were right next to the back door and kitchen of a restaurant that was noisy after 11;00 pm with clean up and bottles clanging. Too much light in the room for sleeping from outside both from the window and door. For a a B&B the breakfast was skimpy as well.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, right in the heart of downtown. There were so many excellent restaurants nearby for us to choose from. We loved being in the historic district and being able to explore all the beautiful architecture. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, giving us tips on where to go and what to see. The room amenities were fantastic, with everything we needed including an ironing facility, heating, air conditioning, and a hair dryer. We also appreciated having a television and direct dial telephone in our room.
We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff, especially the history major, was incredibly helpful and gave me great advice about this city. The hotel's cleanliness was outstanding, and the facilities were top-notch. Additionally, the location between two excellent restaurants and within walking distance of downtown was extremely convenient.
Nothing at all.

The room was very clean and pleasant. Thank you! The breakfast was adequate but not special. The wine tasting would have been nicer without the plastic cups. (I looked but did not attend.) I'm sure using glasses outdoors is an issue but I don't like plastic cups. The staff was very nice. The words and phrases above are not very good choices. I'd say the Elliott House has an excellent location, clean facilities, charming courtyard, and a friendly, helpful and courteous staff.

While the accommodations were lovely and conveniently located, it lacked the homey hospitality and personalized charm of a true B&B. I felt that the B&B title was a bit misleading as the breakfast was underwhelming and the atmosphere was more like and inn or hotel.
